This model is definitely NOT MINE but got it on thingyverse and I am going to try to remix and make it better after I make and print it out. THANK YOU TO KreaLab on Thingyverse for designing and making this model possible. This device makes it possible to turn recycled plastic water bottles into PET filament to 3d print with using an old Ender 3v2 or an old Ender 3. There is no assembly instructions as far as I am aware of but KreaLab did upload a 3d model that is the fully assembled model to try to help with assembly. If you want to see the parts list visit the Original model on thingyverse here:
https://www.***********.com/thing:5255917
My goal is to add a width sensor to improve the bottle filament sizing, and maybe add a dry box into the system as PET is very water absorbent like PETG, and is made best if the bottles are dried beforehand. I will also upload photos when I make this, along with remix updates.
Update: Cover image is my image now, starting to design a better feeder for this thing.
Again thank you to KreaLab for making this possible!
Also if you have any questions either comment or ask KreaLab on thingyverse.
(this works for an ender 3v2 or an ender 3 pro or an ender 3)
~~ UPDATE 1 7-24-25 ~~
-Remixed top fan. so it is protected from larger objects
~~ UPDATE 2 8-7-25 ~~
-I used metal parts from an old meccano set I had lying around the strengthen the model
-YOU WILL NEED TO DRILL YOUR OWN HOLES INTO THE FRAME TO INSTALL THE OLD ENDER PSU or you can use bolts and the psu from the original model
-Added fan silencer to psu to make it draw air away from the hotend so it doesn’t cool itself down with hot air (will be in source models so you can access it)
-added 4010 fanguard to motherboard fan as it is under where the new filament comes out, and needs protection. Look at source models to find the one I used.
- The whole thing is held together by self tapping screws I had lying around.
-will add final product when I am done but for now I am finishing up the build. ALSO GO TO THE ORIGINAL MODEL FOR THE CODE AS KreaLab posted the code along with their model.
Update 3 8-9-25
- all finished any questions on assembly ask me!
Update 4 10-10-25
- Added connector beams for the motor side (model called "metal connector beam") This way you will not need to use metal parts on the frame.
Update 5 10-13-25
- Created a second machine what works more efficiently than the first, also fully 3d printable with no metal parts
Update 5 10-18-25
- Created the ribbon wheel to aline the ribbons with extruder for smoother feeding (this is v1 and I am still testing)
Update 6 10-25-25
- I am now adding an extruder cooler for the main motor, check the source models as there is one listed that works; it is by The Kit Card Guy
