🧩 Description

Straight track section compatible with Hot Wheels Track Builder.

The S profile provides low, standard-height side walls (~6 mm) for a classic look and smooth car transitions. Geometry is tuned for predictable FFF printing and clean snap-fit connections with HWTB components.

🖨️ Printing orientation & tips (TRACK)

RECOMMENDED: Horizontal (laid on its side).

Aligns layer lines lengthwise with car travel for strength and a smooth ride surface.

SUPPORTS: REQUIRED for the upper edge in this orientation.

Use the included .3mf (preconfigured) — it contains the proper support setup for that edge.

If slicing the raw .stl, reproduce those supports to maintain edge quality and durability.

Adhesion: Add a brim only if first-layer grip is weak.

(For tracks we require supports; connectors print flat and usually don’t.)

🛠️ Recommended settings (tracks)

Layer height: 0.20 mm

Walls / perimeters: 4

Infill: 20% (Gyroid)

Supports: Required as described above (use the included .3mf)

Brim: Optional

Filament: PETG (recommended) or PLA (PLA is fine for indoor play; for UV/outdoor prefer PETG/ASA)

Adhesion: PEI smooth or textured sheet with glue stick or another adhesion aid recommended

Fit tuning: If the connection feels too tight/loose, adjust Horizontal Expansion ±0.05–0.15 mm (don’t scale the whole model).

📝 Notes

Uses the standard HWTB connector interface.

100 mm sections are great for fine length adjustments and compact layouts.

For consistent color/finish across your set, print multiple pieces in the same filament batch.
