Junction Box for CCTV / Ethernet etc

Hello!

To solve a solution of awkward cables from a CCTV camera, I have produced this junction box.

It is designed:

- To be printed without supports

- So that it is relatively water/weather proof when mounted to a wall upright, with channels for the water to run down if it gets under the cover somehow, and there are two holes to allow water to drain out.

- To fit cables up-to 7.5mm thick

- To slot two cables in and there is a place to cable tie the cables together securely

- To secure the cover in place with either one or two cable ties at the bottom of the cover

- So that the connection to my camera, which isn't removable and doesn't fit through typical holes in standard junction boxes, can have its connection wire slotted in place, and it doesn't need to go through a hole.

Please note that in some countries you need rated enclosures for electrical junction boxes, so check if this is required. This is why I am using this for ethernet connections with a CCTV camera.

It requires two screws to be fixed to a wall, with the wires then protruding through the bottom to maximise its weatherproofing. Recommended to print in ASA or PETG for outside.

Thank you 🙂
