Customizable Sliding-Lid Lock Box with Text

A customizable storage box with a smooth sliding lid and a small retaining feature. Adjust the box dimensions and personalize it for cards, desk supplies, small parts, gifts, or maker kits.

Expanded text options

The newly added Box with lid - multiline text.scad expands on the original Box with lid.scad , which remains available for the simpler version.

- Add independent text to the lid, the inside floor, and all four outside walls. - Use multiple lines on any text surface by separating lines with | (for example, Name|Tools ). - Choose raised or engraved lettering, a font, an exact text size, and adjustable box dimensions and lid clearance. - Give the lid and inside-floor text different preview colors. Their shared embedding-depth control lets the text stand proud, sit partly inside the body, or finish flush with the surface. - Export the box body, lid body, lid text, and inside-floor text as separate parts for multicolor printing. STL files do not store color, so assign filaments to the parts in your slicer. Customize and print

Use MakerWorld's Customize option to enter your dimensions and text, preview the result, and generate your model. The SCAD source files are also included for anyone who wants to edit them directly.

PLA gives crisp lettering; PETG offers a tougher box for everyday use. A fine layer height helps the lettering and sliding fit. For multicolor lettering, import the separately exported parts together and assign each text part its own filament.
