This extension allows you to integrate an Apple AirTag neatly and securely into a slim wallet . The housing is designed to keep the AirTag as compact and unobtrusive as possible , maintaining the slim profile of the wallet.

The AirTag sits in a precisely fitted pocket and is secured with a threaded retaining ring . This screw mechanism keeps the AirTag firmly in place while still allowing it to be easily removed whenever needed.

The design follows a minimalist and technical aesthetic that pairs well with modern slim wallets.

This is a functional print profile of the excellent Vi Wallet 2 Collection by adding a built-in tracking solution.

I modified the reverse side of the wallet to integrate a custom 37mm snap-fit AirTag holder . The retention lip is meticulously designed to allow the AirTag to snap securely into place with a firm push, keeping the overall footprint low-profile and ensuring it doesn't catch or snag when sliding into your pocket.

🖨️ Print Settings & Tips

- 🚫 No Supports Needed Inside the Holder: The interior retention lip is optimized to print completely support-free via clean bridging. Blocking tree supports in this specific cavity prevents messy plastic strings or nubs from fusing inside the ring, ensuring a perfect snap-fit right off the build plate. - 🧱 Walls & Infill: 3–4 walls and 15–20% infill for optimal strength around the card mechanism. - 🧵 Filament: PLA works great for a rigid snap, but PETG or ASA is highly recommended if you want a bit more flex for the retention lip and extra durability for daily pocket wear. Just remember that PLA and especially PLA Matte are brittle and you may find the top of the wallet where it secured the card break due to constant flexing.
