Custom Spool Holder - Smooth Feeding, Dry Filament

I was looking for quite some time to find a solution of an inexpensive good quality dry box fitting my filament spools and offering smooth rotation and easy replacement of spools.

Long story short I ended up remixing a few designs. Now, I am really happy with this solution and I would like to share it with you.

Update 21.07.2025: The model is now parameterized. Enter the width of your dry box in mm at the position where the spool holder should be placed, and download the Screw_Mod_v2 in the appropriate length.

- Connect the screw with the nut - Add the bearing holder and the bearings - Add the bearing cap and glue it - Use the mount guide to markt the drill holes - Drill the holes - Attach the screw mount in and outside with M3x(6-10mm) with hex nuts Print Guide:

(if you use a different dry box you can use the fusion 360 file to adjust the length of the screw - Spool_Holder_Screw v8.f3d)
