CRASH THE ADVENTUROUS ARTICULATED ACTION FIGURE

Crash is my first 3D model and I'm so happy to share it with you all. Since I was a little kid, I always wanted to design my own action figures and thanks to 3D printing I could make my dreams come true.

Summary:

1- Crash is an articulated action figure

2- It is printed with 98A or 95A TPUs which makes the figure very sturdy and durable

3- I HIGHLY recommend you to dry your filaments before printing

4- Remixes are allowed (and greatly appreciated)

PRINTING:

Crash has 2 versions:

- 98A TPU - 95A TPU- PETG Important: Initially I designed the model to be printed with 98A TPUs and it works great! But it was too niche. So experimented with more common, 95A TPUs and saw that just by simply printing the joint parts with PETG (and probably any other rigid filament) the figure works as good as the 98A version. Printing with only 95A TPUs makes the figure too gummy and joints usually stretch before bending so I suggest rigid filaments for joint parts (3mf files are included).

1- All individual parts are uploaded

2- 3mf file for 98A includes: All parts arranged to be printed in a single plate/ scaled up version(115%) /extra accessories

3- 3mf file for 985 includes4 plates: All TPU parts arranged to be printed in a single plate/ joint parts in a separate build plate/ scaled up version(115%) / extra accessories

4- some parts needs to be printed 2 times. I included the doubles in the 3mf files but if you are using individual parts you should print files that has “x2” in the name, twice.

5- All pieces are arranged in the best orientation (to the best of my abilities) but of course you can change it.

6- 115% scaled up version is roughly around 6 inches and 15cm

LAYER HEIGHT 0.2 mm (for holding hands I prefer 0.12mm)

INFILL 40%

7-Higher Infill density makes the figure more rigid. I find 40% is around the sweet spot but you are free to experiment.

ASSEMBLY:

I am including an assembly sheet but if you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments

1- some parts might need a bit of force to put together( not much )

2- If you scale the figure up, assembly might need more force but it works good too.
