This is a detailed 3D model of the internal thread insert for a standard 82 mm twist-off jar lid with 6 lugs (“6Z”), widely used in Polish and European food-preservation jars. It’s designed to fit typical mason-style jars — ideal for designing caps, adapters, or sealing inserts. The preview image on the jar demonstrates this exact threading in use.

- jar_lid_thread.blend – editable Blender source for full customization - jar_lid_thread.stl – production-ready 3D printing mesh - jar_lid_thread.3mf – pre-sliced model (≈ 11 g filament used for a test print)

Knurled Lid, full profile The 6-lug thread provided by the designer is excellent and works great.

I created two lids using it. One is a full profile, knurled outside (this profile). The other is a low profile with fuzzy skin, in case some people want a fast printing model.

Both of these can be customized in the slicer by adding text to the bottom surface . I chose not to do that because I have a label maker which is pretty fast and convenient.
