Print-in-place Parametric Card game box

I usually take my board games everywhere I go, and once you have enough of them, you start thinking about how to transport them efficiently. Card games, in particular, tend to have a lot of empty space in their boxes, so that's where I decided to start.

I came across this awesome design for UNO: https://makerworld.com/en/models/607051 and instantly loved it. It inspired me to create something similar for the rest of my card games. I also wanted to practice my 3D modeling skills, so I designed a fully parametric model from scratch. This way, I can easily adapt the design to fit different card games without spending too much time.

🆕 Major Update : Magnet Closure & New Lid Options!

The model now supports two closing mechanisms:

- Hinge (original design) - Magnets : magnet size is fully parametric, so you can adapt it to whatever you have on hand. I used 5 mm magnets, with the pocket diameter set 0.3 mm larger for a snug press-fit. To help you dial in the fit before committing to a full print, I've also included a small magnet fit test piece, print it first to make sure your magnets seat properly.

The lid now comes in two variants:

- With logo opening - Without logo opening   So far, I've made models for:

- Exploding Kittens (with extra space for the Streaking Kittens expansion) - 88.5x64x24 mm - Coloretto - 87x56x26 mm - Bang! The Card Game - 87x56x38 mm - Skull King - 88x63x35 mm - Flip 7 - 88x56x38 mm I've uploaded the Fusion 360 file so the design can be modified to any measurements, all parameters are easily editable to fit whatever card game you want to box up. Somebody messaged me about the option to make the internal corners sharper to support sleaved cards, while I didn't make it a default parameter for makerworld you can find the parameter in Fusion360 as Radius_internal_corners

Printed in PLA with 3 walls, 0.2 mm layer height, and no supports. The hinges have worked great, and the magnet closures are holding up nicely too!
