No-Spill Resistor Storage Drawers (E24 Series)

Needed to organise my collection of resistors. Couldn't find anything suitable so created this one.

Features ;

- 24 drawers, each with 7 compartments. This suits the full E24 series of resistors (from 0.1 Ohm through to 9.1 MOhm). - Each of the drawer's 7 compartments has a rounded base allowing easy removal of individual resistors unlike flat based drawers which tend to capture resistors in the sharp edged corners. - Each drawer has a retention tab at the rear which engages with a tab in the storage case to allow the drawer to be opened to its full extent without coming out completely. Tilting the drawer up at the front allows easy removal if necessary. - The fit of the drawers in the case is sufficiently tight to allow the closed case not to spill the resistors out of their individual compartments. - The case is available in both a full-walled unit and a lower filament version if you want to save on filament. - I can confirm that the case just fits on the Plate of a P1S, allowing a one piece design. - Three drawers printed with the same orientation fit on a single plate to allow consistency between drawers. If consistency is not a concern you can fit 4 drawers per plate. - All printed pieces need no supports. - I have included a test plate to enable the testing of the fit of the drawer profile into the case profile in case you need to adjust scaling. My print worked first time. I printed with generic PLA (except for the feet which were in flexible generic TPU) but any filament should work.

I labelled the drawers with a Brother Label Maker using Black on Clear tape.
