X2D, P2S, A1, P1S Build Plate Holder (Under Desk)

This under-desk plate holder keeps your build plates organized and within reach while out of the way. Designed specifically for the X2, P2, and A1 series plates. Choose the size that fits your space and collection.

Origin This project was requested by a few friends I work with and the community. It is based on my H Series under-desk plate holder linked below and redesigned from scratch for the X2, P2, P1, and A1 plate sizes and printer behavior.

• Versions included 3, 5, and 7 slots • Fits common X2, P2, P,1 X1, A1 plates, textured PEI, smooth PEI, temp, and cool plate frames • Low-profile body for tight installs under desks, benches, or carts • Rigid ribs and corner fillets for strength and to assist with printing tall, thin parts • Mounts in minutes with double-sided tape, as seen in profile pics, recessed holes for wood or self-tapping screws • Print-friendly geometry with no supports

What you get • 3MF files for 3 slot, 5 slot, and 7 slot bodies

• STL files in the download section • Two print profiles:

Core XY for X2, P2, P1,X1, H-Series.

A separate A1 profile tuned for a moving bed to reduce vibration while printing top layers

Compatibility • X2D, P2S, P1-series, X1-series, and A1 plates of standard Bambu thickness and size

• If you use third-party plates with unusual frame thickness, please share feedback so I can post a fit note and make modifications.

Recommended hardware • #12 wood screws from ¾ inch to 1 inch for wood • Metric option M5 x 16 mm to M5 x 20 mm • Option 2 - use 3m double-sided tape

Mounting tips • Hold the rack where you want it to mark your holes. • Drive screws loosely level, then snug them (don't overtighten)

• Load plates from the front

• Double-sided 3m tape works good, tested with the  7 plate version fully loaded

(Profile pictures under the lack table is mounted with double-sided tape)

Notes on strength and materials

• PETG, ABS, or ASA recommended • PLA works well (I tested my first draft prints with PLA Matte, and it held up better than I expected) • Wall thickness and ribs are sized for everyday handling, not for standing on the rack ;)
