Organize smarter with a modular, wall-mounted spice rack built around a simple but powerful idea customizable dowel-based storage that adapts to any area.

This system uses the same dovetail + pin mounting platform as upcoming FractMod dowel projects, making it expandable, adaptable, and future-ready.

🧩 Model Profiles Included

Each rack is designed for a maximum container size, all using 3/8” dowel rods and the FractMod wall mount (3 × #8 screws or drywall anchors).

Small- Fits containers up to 40mm in diameter

Medium- Fits containers up to 50mm in diameter

Large- Fits containers up to 60mm in diameter

Hot sauce- Fits bottles up to 42mm in diameter

Each mount slides onto the wall-mounted dovetail and locks in place with a pin quick, secure, and replaceable anytime.

⚙️ Mounting System

- Universal dovetail wall bracket (fits all future FractMod dowel projects) - Uses 3 × #8 screws and or drywall anchors - Slide-lock engagement with a removable retention pin - Simple, sturdy, and reconfigurable. Need a different size? Simply print the next size, removed the pin and slide the old mount off the wall.

🧰 Printing Recommendations

I have used PLA for this as most spice containers are relatively light and I do not expect to add much weight to the racks. If you have larger containers PETG, ABS, or PLA+ may be good options. All print profiles have been optimized to ensure you get a strong clean print with easy support removal. As with all prints, it is best to ensure you have dry filament and a clean build plate before beginning.

** Revision 2 11/02/2025

Thanks to some additional feedback two more modifications were made.

Firstly, the profile of all racks was changed so that is a container were to fall on its side it could not fall out of the rack. This also allows for better label visibility.

Secondly, a left and right side was created for each rack size. This allowed for the use of blind holes to contain the rod doing away with the clips and end caps. With this change, the rod is now fully secured in the mount. Assembly changes slightly as the rod will need to be placed between both mounts before the mounts are slid onto the dovetails.

**REVISION 1 10/23/25

Thanks to feedback received from reddit I have made two modifications.

The first is a new center support, this is made to support the lower dowel over larger spans or where heavier containers are being supported. If after install you notice the lower dowel bending under load please use the profile (FractMod Center Support (All Sizes)). This profile contains a center support for each rack size as well as a “MicroDove” to attach it to the wall. Simply remove any of the sizes that are not needed and clone the ones that are.

The second modification was to the clips. This change increased the securement of the dowel rod and further prevents side to side movement. A separate Profile was generated for these for anyone who may have printed the model already and wish to utilize the modified clips. I have also updated all print profiles to include these for future downloads.

FractMod Center Support (All Sizes) V3 *** 5/6/26- Supports were added for the X Small and X Large profiles.

Thanks to some generous feedback and suggestions over on Reddit I have added center supports for the lower dowel! The profile includes all sizes so simply remove the ones you do not need and clone the ones you do! Be sure to let me know if you were able to utilize these in your setup.

Modified Dowel Clip I highly recommend using the settings in the profile. These clips are designed to keep the rod securely in place and prevent side to side movement. Simply modify the number of clips needed using clone and hit print!
