Last year I made an advent calendar for my wife and her main hobby and thought “man it would be cool if someone did that with Magic: The Gathering packs”… so I went ahead and made it.

Lid features Jace reimagined as Santa on the top and a festive Planeswalker symbol on the bottom. Holds 24 individual boxes with numbered caps. The perfect size to fit sealed Magic: the Gathering (or any TCG) packs. Each of the smaller boxes also will comfortably hold 15 sleeved cards in case you want to gift singles, or reuse the box for your cube.

When you print the caps it's a good idea to set the seams to “random”, since they're so thin aligned seams end up being a mess. Other than that there's nothing special to note. I printed this with the 0.4mm nozzle.

Also make sure you have something in the packs before placing the lids on them. The tolerance is very tight and the lids will just slide down into the box if there's not something in there… I learned the hard way it can be very difficult to get them out.
