This updated version includes a quick sand-sifting function , allowing urine sand to be filtered more easily during cleaning. Simply lift and sift to separate clean sand from clumped or soiled sand, helping reduce waste and making maintenance faster and more convenient 🧼↳

The size is primarily designed for golden hamsters / Syrian hamsters , providing enough space without taking up too much room inside the cage. The model can also be scaled down to fit smaller hamster species 🐹↳

The structure is optimized for 3D printing, featuring thick walls for durability and a smooth outer surface that is easy to rinse and maintain. When used together with the matching lid, it helps keep the surrounding cage area clean and tidy 🧱↳

🐾 Note: Designed as a small home toilet for my very first hamster.

Best Practice: Two Litter Boxes and One Sifter

For faster and easier cleaning, it is recommended to print:

- 2 litter boxes - 1 sifter This setup allows you to sift and replace the sand directly, reducing unnecessary pouring and transferring between containers.

How to Use

1. Prepare the Empty Litter Box

Take the spare empty litter box and place the sifter inside it. Make sure the sifter sits securely and leaves enough space underneath to collect the clean sand.

2. Pour in the Used Sand

Remove the litter box currently being used by your hamster and slowly pour its contents into the sifter.

Fine, reusable sand will pass through the holes and fall into the empty litter box below. Clumped urine-soaked sand, bedding, and other debris will remain in the sifter.

3. Remove the Waste

Gently shake the sifter to help the remaining clean sand pass through. Then discard the clumped sand and debris left on the sifter.

4. Replace the Litter Box

Remove the sifter. The litter box underneath now contains the filtered sand and can be placed directly back into the enclosure.

Wash and dry the original litter box so that it can be used as the spare box during the next cleaning cycle. The two litter boxes can be used alternately.
