This is a set of Gridfinity 12U tall storage bins sized to fit Milwaukee Packout organizers, using Gridfinity base grids (see below for links).

These bins allow you to customize your Packout containers and give you increased flexibility to store and organize your small parts and tools, compared to the fixed size bins that came with the Packout. With the Gridfinity base grids (link below), a compact (narrow) organizer can hold a 7x4.5 grid size (using standard Gridfinity 42mm size units). The wide Packout organizer can hold two 7x4.5 grids, plus a 1x7 strip in the middle.

You can mix and match these full-height 12U bins along with these 6U bins , which can be stacked double-tall in the Packout organizer.

I have provided a number of bin sizes which I think are the most useful for storing things inside Packout organizers, including half-sizes to take advantage of that extra width. The bins range from 1x1 up to 3x4.5.

How to Use These Bins

First, print a set of Gridfinity base grids to fit your container and lay them onto the bottom of your Packout.

Choose your bins and print as many as you need. Then just drop them in place onto the grid and move them around as desired.

If you want larger bin sizes, bins with dividers or something else, check out this excellent parameterizable Gridfinity generator model where you can generate your own. You could also design your own custom bins to accommodate special sizes or tools/equipment. To make bins that match the style of mine, choose the following settings in the generator tool:

- height: 12 Gridfinity units - scoop: none For best results, print a set of these Packout Lid Gap Fillers and fasten them to the inside of your Packout to prevent small parts from moving around when the Packout is picked up and transported.

Bin sizes 1x1 up to 1x4, 2x2 up to 3x4, 12U tall This print profile contains many plates, with one plate for each different bin size. To print more than one of a bin (e.g. to print a plate full of 1x1 bins), select the plate and use the “Number of Copies” function in the Bambu Handy app, or the “clone” function in the Bambu Studio slicer, to make more copies before printing.

The bin colors can be customized, and you can choose a separate color for the rims and for the body if you like. You can also set them both to the same color if you don't have an AMS or don't want the accent color.

The longest bins in this collection (1x4.5, 2x4.5, 3x4.5) are in a different print profile to allow this profile to maintain maximum compatibility with smaller printers such as the A1 Mini.

The print profile uses Bambu Lab PLA Basic. This works well for casual use, but consider printing the bins out of something more heat resistant such as PETG if you plan on leaving your Packout organizers in vehicles or trailers.

1x4.5, 2x4.5 and 3x4.5 bin sizes, 12U tall This print profile contains plates containing the larger 1x4.5, 2x4.5 and 3x4.5 bins. They have slightly thicker walls than the smaller bins to help them carry more.

These bins print on all Bambu printers except for the A1 mini, so I put them in a separate profile to maintain maximum compatibility.

To print more than one of a bin, select the plate and use the “Number of Copies” function in the Bambu Handy app, or the “clone” function in the Bambu Studio slicer, to make more copies before printing.

The bins are colored with a two-tone scheme for the bin and the lip - you can customize the colors or make everything a single color if you prefer.
