Описание

The “Uno Scrubber”

Code: https://github.com/Mason363/UNO-Scrubber

⚠️ CREDIT: THIS MODEL IS NOT MY ORIGINAL CREATION! THIS IS A REMIX OF THE MODEL: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4605764 by TrashBoat . It's a great model, you should check it out if you have a microcontroller capable of HID.

However, I did change the model, as listed later on in this description.

I also wrote all of the code to run on the Arduino and the interface for a Mac. You can find this code in the PDF Documentation.

Don't buy a Pro Micro. Use the Arduino Uno you already own.

Most DIY macro pads require you to buy specific microcontrollers (like the ATmega32u4 Pro Micro) to act as a USB keyboard. This project is different. It is designed specifically for the standard Arduino Uno . It bridges the Uno to your Mac using a lightweight, zero-latency Python script that auto-detects the device on any USB port.

⚠️ Remix Challenge: This is a fully functional V1, but the current case design requires the Arduino to sit externally (connected by a wire loom). I am releasing this under a CC BY-NC-SA license. I encourage the community to remix this enclosure to fit the Uno inside!

Features

- Mode 1 (LED Off): Precision Timeline Scrubbing. - Mode 2 (LED Bright): Fast Scrubbing (Shift-Speed). - 4 Macro Keys: Shift+N, S, Ripple Delete (Opt+Del), and Mode Toggle. - Zero Latency: Custom buffer-flush logic for instant response. - Jitter-Free: "State Machine" firmware eliminates rotary encoder bounce. Bill of Materials (BOM)

- 1x Arduino Uno (Any version/clone) - 1x KY-040 Rotary Encoder Module - 4x Mechanical Switches (Cherry MX/Gateron style) - 1x LED (Any color) + 1x 220Ω Resistor - Wires: Dupont Male-to-Male (for switches) & Male-to-Female (for encoder) - Hardware: 5x 6-32 screws (or glue) for the case (NO SCREWS REQUIRED) . (for links, please go to in-depth PDF documentation)

The code can be found here (as well as in the PDF):

⚠️ This project is MacOS only!

I would love for someone with Python/C++ experience to make this project also compatible with Windows!

is a remix designed specifically for the Arduino Uno . The original design was great, but I needed to adapt it for the larger footprint and pin limitations of the standard Uno board.

Key Changes:

- Open-Back Design: I removed the rear enclosure wall. This allows for a wider, stress-free connection to the external Arduino Uno, giving your jumper wires plenty of room to breathe without getting pinched. - Compact 4-Key Layout: I removed the top row of buttons (reducing the count by 4). This not only makes the device more compact and desk-friendly but also fits perfectly within the digital pin limitations of the Arduino Uno without needing a complex matrix wiring setup. - Improved Cable Management: The internal spacing has been increased to allow for easier routing of the stiff jumper wires used in prototyping. This version is perfect for anyone wanting to build a timeline scrubber using the parts they already have in their starter kit!

Please remix, improve the case, and share your builds!
