Parametric SKADIS Tray & Shelf Generator

A fully parametric tray and shelf designed for the IKEA SKADIS pegboard system. This model lets you quickly generate custom-sized storage tailored to your exact needs, whether you want a shallow tray for small parts or a deeper shelf for tools and accessories.

The design focuses on simplicity, strength, and clean printing. Thanks to its geometry, it prints without supports while maintaining good rigidity even at larger sizes. It’s ideal for organizing workshop items, 3D printing tools, electronics, or everyday accessories.

You can easily adjust the dimensions to fit your setup, making it a versatile addition to any SKADIS board. The front entry cutout improves accessibility, especially for frequently used items.

Parameters

- width: Total width of the tray or shelf. Adjust to match your storage needs or SKADIS layout. Inner width = width - 2*wall_thickness - depth: Depth of the tray. Increase for larger items or reduce to save space and material. Total depth = depth + 8mm - wall_thickness: Thickness of the outer walls & floor. Higher values improve strength, lower values reduce material usage and print time. - height: Total height of the tray walls. Defines how tall the container is. - entry_height: Height of the front opening. Lower values make items more secure, higher values improve accessibility. I recommend not to exceed height param value

Update 04/08/2026: Fixed a rendering issue where hook slots would disappear when the tray was set to specific depth levels. Thanks to @nirav_a1 for reporting the problem ;)
