Trash Can for your Car's Cup Holder - Flipper Lid

UPDATE 14 April, 2026: I just re-uploaded the print profile with a slight mod to the flipper part of the lid. I added a counter-balance piece to the bottom of the lid. This should help it stay upright better.

We're back, with another car cup holder trash can! Ok, so what's different? Last time, I published one with a simple lid mostly held in place by gravity. This time? The lid screws on to the top and features a “flipper” style lid!

Just like last time, this is all about keeping the car neat - providing a spot to collect all those bits of trash we all collect along the way. Mostly receipts, occasionally other bits of trash too.

Profiles here for PLA, PETG, ASA, and ABS. Please be mindful of the climate in which you live. PLA WILL deform due to heat at around 45-55C. So, that's between around 115-130F. In the summer, it's easy for a car to reach that temperature. PETG, ASA, or ABS are highly recommended. PCTG would be another excellent choice (I like 3D Fuel's PCTG Pro if you're looking for some to try). There's nothing filament-specific in the model, so if you want to take a crack at running these in PC, go nuts.

In any event, this model would look fantastic in some nice silver or grey PETG, ASA, etc. Gives that real old-school trash can vibe!
