IBC Tank Replacement Venting Lid (Gardena 1")

This model was created as a replacement part for the top venting lid of an 1000L IBC tank.in the pictures you can see the original part that just aged to the point of breaking away. For the new part, I integrated a Gardena compatible 1" female thread. The venting part of the original lid thus is now also fitted with a Gardena 1" male thread. This allows you to add any other Gardena/Garden hose 1" adapter like my 1" male device adapter . To retain the venting functionality when using garden hose adapters, I added some additional venting holes into the lid.

To install the model you need at least an IBC lid O-Ring , which I published with my other garden system seal and O-Ring models. With these, you can also find a fitting seal/gasket for the 1" fittings and adapters you would want to install.

The print profile uses 0.16mm layer height and PETG to be accessible to most people. I would still recommend using ASA or other weather resistant filament and a finer print resolution to make the threads way easier. Use a detailing tool to remove the supports cleanly. Please remember, that the quality of the threads is highly dependent on the dryness of your filament and calibration of your printer. The first threads will probably be a bit tough. The venting adapter and my Gardena device adapters have support for wrenches built in (the flat sides). If you are using Orca slicer, I highly recommend using the alternating wall feature for added part strength. The number of walls has a better impact to part strength than infill!
