Impossible Sphere in a Cube

Does not require AMS, and both pieces can be printed in any color of your choosing.

It looks impossible, but the sphere is actually placed inside the cube during a pause in the print. Once the print resumes, the cube closes around it, creating a really cool illusion that makes you wonder how the sphere got inside.

How it Works:

- Print the sphere Plate #1 FIRST. - Remove supports from the sphere while you begin to print the cube, Plate #2. - The cube will pause at a pre-determined layer, enough for the toolhead to pass over without collision. - Simply drop the pre-printed sphere inside the paused cube. - Resume the print and let the cube finish enclosing the sphere. Warning:

If you decide to scale the print, please ensure that both plates are scaled the same amount to ensure fitment.

Also please be sure that the print pause height is higher than your sphere, otherwise you could have a collision with your nozzle.

The finished result makes a fun conversation piece, desk toy, or fidget and is a great example of what can be accomplished with a strategically timed pause print.

There are two different sizes with a snug and loose tolerance, the second being a bit more of a fidget toy. Thanks for checking out my model!
