AMS 1 Mount for Ikea Skadis

Mount your Bambu Lab AMS (first generation) directly on an IKEA SKADIS pegboard. Two brackets hold the AMS securely with four 1 kg spools loaded, keeping your desk free and your filament within reach.

Each bracket is a single piece with two slide-in hooks. The design is simple but physically large and robust. It has been tested and printed in PLA, successfully holding a fully loaded AMS without issues. If you prefer extra safety margin, PETG or other stronger materials are also a good choice.

There is enough clearance at the back to connect both the signal cable and PTFE tube, although the space is limited. For best results, connect all cables and tubing before mounting the holder on the SKADIS board.

This mount is designed for the 3-rib version of the original AMS. If your AMS has a different number of ribs, the fit may not be correct. Check the side of your AMS before printing.

Important notes

- This model is NOT compatible with the AMS 2 . For the AMS 2 version, see   AMS2 mount for Ikea Skadis . - The model is large and requires good bed adhesion , so make sure your build plate is clean and properly prepared before printing. - DO NOT USE matte or silk PLA for the hooks and brackets. These have significantly weaker layer adhesion and can break under constant load. Use regular PLA or PETG for all load-bearing parts. - If the hooks feel loose, you can glue them with CA glue for a quick fix. For a better result, scale the hooks up by 1-2% in Bambu Studio and reprint - Supports should break away cleanly, but even if they look fine, double-check and clean any excess filament with a knife before assembly.
