Give your shrimp a whole network of places to hide, explore, climb and graze with the HEX Shrimp Tower 2.0.

Designed as a wide, multi-level aquarium habitat, the tower combines large cave entrances, smaller HEX openings and interconnected spaces in one organic structure. Instead of a simple single cave, shrimp can explore the model from multiple sides and move between different levels and hiding areas.

The open HEX-inspired structure also provides plenty of surface area for biofilm and algae growth, creating additional grazing areas for shrimp.

🖨️ Printing

The model shown was successfully printed in PETG with a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.20 mm layer height.

Tree supports were used in critical areas. The supports released easily during testing. Due to the many openings and internal areas, allow a few extra minutes for complete support cleanup.

💧 Important Aquarium Preparation

Before placing the model in your aquarium, drill two small 2 mm holes into the underside.

During testing, air became trapped inside the internal cavities and caused the model to float. Two 2 mm holes in the underside allowed the trapped air to escape and water to enter the cavities. After this modification, the model submerged properly.

Thoroughly remove all drilling debris and any remaining support material before placing the model in your aquarium.
