This 2-part 3D-printed switch cover is designed to prevent people from accidentally turning off the wall switch connected to your Philips Hue lights.

When a regular wall switch is turned off, the connected Hue lights lose power and can no longer be controlled through the Philips Hue ecosystem. This cover blocks access to the original switch while providing a mounting position for a  Philips Hue Dimmer Switch V1 , allowing everyone to keep using a physical light switch without cutting power to the smart lights.

Important: This model is only compatible with the Philips Hue Dimmer Switch V1. It does not fit the newer Philips Hue Dimmer Switch V2.

Designed for my own home

I designed this model specifically for the light switches in the home I currently live in. Because switch sizes and designs vary between countries and manufacturers, it may not fit the switches in your home.

The light switch dimensions this model is designed for are:

- Width: 80.5 mm - Height: 80.5 mm - Minimum corner radius: 4 mm Please check your switch dimensions before printing.

Easy to install and remove

The design consists of  two 3D-printed parts that fit over the existing wall switch and hold the Philips Hue Dimmer V1.

No glue is required, so the assembly can easily be taken apart again. The Hue remote can also be removed whenever needed, for example when replacing the batteries.
