Customizable 12 × 6 License Plate Frame

A frame for nominal 12 × 6-inch license plates , with upper and lower text you can customize directly in Bambu Studio.

Two finishes in one project

- Raised text: lettering extends 0.8 mm above the frame. - Flush inlaid text: lettering is embedded into the frame and finishes level with its surface. Both versions use 0.8 mm of white lettering — four 0.20 mm layers . Final opacity depends on the white filament used.

Customize the text

- Open a file with Deux_Plaques_Textes_Modifiables in its name as a project in Bambu Studio. - In Objects , expand the build plate and frame. - Select TEXTE HAUT (upper text) or TEXTE BAS (lower text), then choose Edit Text . - Enter your wording, adjust the font size if needed, save the project and slice your chosen build plate. The four text fields are independent. Editing one build plate does not automatically update the other.

Keep Thickness 0.80 mm, Embedded depth 0, Not surround, Part , and the existing text position. Do not drop the letters onto the build plate or project them back onto the frame surface. Reduce font size for longer wording; keep upper text within approximately 153.8 mm in width to preserve mounting clearance.

Dimensions

- Nominal plate: 304.8 × 152.4 mm — 12 × 6 inches - Overall frame: 308.8 × 156.4 mm - Total thickness: 4.0 mm raised or 3.2 mm flush Check dimensions, mounting points and visibility of your plate markings before installation. Use a printer with sufficient build area for the selected version.

Two-color PETG

Black PETG for the frame; white PETG for the lettering. Use the appropriate PETG filament presets. The H2S preparation uses a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.20 mm layers, 4 wall loops, 5 top and bottom shell layers, 20% gyroid infill, a 5 mm outer brim and no supports.

Keep the 0.20 mm layer height to retain the four layers of lettering. Print the build plate matching your preferred finish.

About the flush version

Text and frame volumes intentionally overlap. During slicing, Bambu Studio assigns the lettering regions to white filament, allowing wording changes without leaving a fixed recess shaped like the old text.

The Prepare view may show minor display artifacts on the shared surface. Check Preview after slicing and keep the parts separate within the 3MF.

Choosing a download

Choose a Textes_Modifiables project for editable lettering. The older file named ASA_Geometrie is a legacy geometry export with fixed lettering and ASA settings.
