🔩 Real threads, real standards

- Schrader (8V1) — car, motorbike, MTB · Ø7.7 mm × 0.794 mm pitch, ISO 4570 - Presta (5V2) — road & gravel bikes · Ø5.2 mm × 1.058 mm pitch, ISO 4570 - Dunlop / Woods — city bikes · Ø8 mm friction fit (there is no ISO thread standard for Dunlop caps, so this one pushes on and grips) 🎨 5 wall patterns Diamond knurl (real crossed ribs, like machined caps) · Smooth · Hex · Vertical knurl · Spiral — with adjustable rib spacing, depth and count.

✍️ Your text on top "32 PSI", "2.2 BAR", "F" / "R", your initials… raised or engraved, auto-fitted to the cap. Prints top-up, no supports.

How to use (30 seconds)

- Click Customize . - Choose Valve_Type (the dropdown tells you the typical use) and Wall_Pattern . - Set diameter and height, or just pick a Quick_Start preset. - Optional: type something in Top_Text . - Generate → print. Print settings

- PETG for cars/motorbikes (heat + UV in the wheel well), PLA is fine for bikes kept indoors. Avoid TPU for the threaded part. - 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.12–0.2 mm layers (the thread pitch is fine — thinner layers = crisper thread), 3 walls, 30–50 % infill. - No supports. Print exactly as generated: top up, thread opening on the plate. - Small part: print 4–8 at a time, use a brim only if your plate needs it. Doesn't fit? Two sliders fix everything

- Won't screw on / too tight → Fit_Preset = Loose. Too wobbly → Tight . - Screws on but slips off → raise Thread_Bite_mm a little (0.02–0.04 steps). It's clamped so it can never block the thread. Every printer and — honestly — every valve is a bit different (not all Schrader stems are identical). Standard fit is tuned on real printed caps; one test print tells you which preset is yours. ⚠️ Intended use — please read

- These are decorative dust caps, for aesthetic use : they dress up the wheel and keep dirt out of the valve. The air seal is the valve core, not the cap. - 3D-printed parts vary with printer, material, wheel-well heat, UV and vibration. No guarantee is given for use on the road — not for retention at speed, durability, or any safety-relevant function. - Check fit and tightness before driving, re-check them periodically, and use them at your own risk. Where a cap must never come off (road, track, motorbike), a metal cap is the right tool. Good to know

- The cap auto-protects itself: if you choose a diameter too small for the valve, it grows to keep a safe wall and tells you in the console. - Wall thickness is adjustable down to 0.4 mm for ultra-slim bike caps (below 0.8 mm = one perimeter, fragile — bikes only). - Domed top adds a little height; text needs a flat top (it switches automatically). - One self-contained .scad file, no libraries — it also opens in desktop OpenSCAD 2021.01+.
