Boost Me If you like the Veil Flow Planter, please consider giving this model a Boost!
I’m collecting for more filament so I can keep printing, testing new ideas, and creating more planters, vases, and decorative models. Every Boost helps me get more filament and continue developing new designs and collections.
Thank you so much for supporting my work <3 Meet the Veil Flow vase , a sculptural plant pot inspired by soft fabric movement, flowing folds, and elegant organic geometry.
The design wraps the vase in a series of smooth sweeping curves that spiral gently around the body, creating the impression of thin layers of fabric floating around a solid inner form.
Instead of using sharp geometric ribs or aggressive twists, the surface feels soft and continuous. Each raised section flows naturally into the next, giving the planter a calm, elegant silhouette that changes depending on the viewing angle.
From the front, the curved bands create a strong diagonal movement.
Turn the planter slightly and completely different folds begin to appear.
From another angle, the surface looks almost like overlapping petals or fabric caught in a slow spiral.
That constantly changing silhouette is what gives the Veil Flow vase its character.
The overall body stays simple and practical: rounded, stable, and wide enough to make the plant itself remain the visual center. The decorative elements are integrated directly into the outer shape rather than added as separate ornaments, which keeps the design clean and cohesive.
The upper opening is broad and uncomplicated, giving the model a balanced appearance and allowing the flowing exterior to remain the main decorative feature.
The lower section curves gently inward before meeting the flat base, which makes the planter feel lighter and more sculptural without losing its solid presence.
The design works particularly well in modern interiors.
It can fit beautifully into minimalist spaces, Japandi rooms, contemporary interiors, Scandinavian-inspired homes, or more artistic spaces where sculptural objects are used as decoration.
The flowing outer surface also creates interesting highlights and shadows.
Even in a single color, the model has a lot of visual depth because the curved layers catch light differently across the surface. In bright daylight the folds can look soft and subtle, while stronger directional light makes the spiral pattern much more dramatic.
That means the planter does not need multiple colors to stand out.
Its shape does the work.
Neutral tones can give it a very refined appearance.
Ivory or cream makes it feel almost ceramic.
Warm beige gives the design a natural, calm aesthetic.
White creates a clean and modern look.
Stone grey makes it feel more architectural.
Black turns the planter into a bold sculptural object.
Sage, dusty green, terracotta, sand, or taupe can bring out the organic character of the design beautifully.
The Veil Flow Planter also works especially well with plants that have simple silhouettes.
A compact succulent can create a clean modern composition.
A cactus adds contrast against the soft curves.
Trailing plants can echo the flowing shape of the planter.
A small fern or leafy houseplant can create a softer, more natural arrangement.
Because the planter itself already has a strong sculptural presence, even a very simple plant can create an attractive display.
It can sit on a shelf, desk, windowsill, bedside table, console, bathroom counter, or living room side table.
The model also works nicely in offices or studio spaces where you want greenery without using a completely plain plant pot.
It is decorative without becoming overly ornamental.
The pattern is noticeable, but it does not overpower the plant.
That balance is one of the main ideas behind the design.
The word Veil fits the shape because the surface looks as though thin layers are wrapping gently around the planter.
The folds seem to overlap and move upward in a slow spiral, almost like fabric rotating around the central body.
There is something soft and fluid about the shape even though the object itself is solid.
That contrast makes the design especially interesting as a decorative piece.
