CyberBrick TT Gearbox for the 030 Motor + Wheel

The CyberBrick kits come with a tiny 030 motor and a plastic reduction gear set, but most cheap robot chassis are built around the yellow TT gear motor. This housing puts the CyberBrick motor and gears into a TT-shaped body with the usual TT mounting holes, so those chassis fit.

Bambu's own output shaft already takes a standard TT wheel, so the housing is all you need for the motor side. There is also a wheel here for the rubber tyre from the kit.

The gear positions come from Bambu's CAD for the reducer, and it took three rounds of test prints to get the fit right.

What you need from the kit:

- 030 micro DC motor (LA024) - Single-axis reduction gear set. Tested with the 1:48 set (LA016). Bambu's guide uses the same housing for every ratio (LA012 to LA022), so the others should fit, but I have not tried them yet. - The kit's M2.5x6 screws - LA027 rubber tyre, for the wheel Sizes:

- Tyre: LA027, Ø33.7 × 13.85 mm (sold as a 4-pack) - Wheel hub: TT double-D socket, 5.4 mm across the round, 3.7 mm across the flats, so it also fits a standard yellow TT motor - Gearbox body: 65.4 × 22.4 × 18.8 mm, the same outline as a TT gear motor - Mounting: two Ø3.1 mm holes, 17.5 mm apart, 21.55 mm back from the output shaft (32.75 mm from the front end) Printing:

- Gearbox plate: base and lid, flat, no supports. 0.2mm, PLA. - Wheel plate: prints with the narrow lip end of the rim down. 0.2mm, PLA, 5 walls so the rim stays stiff under the tyre. Assembly:

- Push the metal gear pins into the base. They should go in firmly by hand, no hammer. - Drop the gears on in order (see the drawings), then the motor into its pocket. - Lid on. The block under the lid clamps the motor so it does not rock when it reverses. - Screw it together with the kit's screws. - Stretch the tyre over the wheel, lip end first, and push the wheel onto the output shaft.
