Cobweb Crawler Studs – Asymmetric Spider & Web

When the Fog Rolls In…

The evening grows dark. Fog drifts through the streets, warm lights flicker between the houses, and somewhere the last rays of sunlight disappear behind the rooftops. Halloween begins. But something is already moving across one earlobe: a little spider crawls beyond its edge. On the other side, it has left behind its irregular web. Cobweb Crawler is a deliberately asymmetric pair of Halloween studs. The spider and web have different designs, but they belong together. Some of the legs and web strands extend beyond the earlobe, making the design feel just a little more alive. Small, slightly creepy – and just right for Halloween.

Printing Tips

The studs are small and feature some fine contours. That's why I use a slower print speed for all contours . This helps especially with the spider's legs and the thinner sections of the web, allowing them to print more cleanly.

No supports are required, and no AMS is needed.

A very clean and grease-free build plate is especially important for these small parts. Before printing, I recommend cleaning the plate with lukewarm water and a little dish soap . After cleaning, avoid touching the printing surface with your fingers.

After printing , allow the build plate to cool down completely before removing the spider and web. The delicate structures could otherwise deform during removal. To speed up cooling, the build plate can be removed from the printer.

Alternatively, you can use similar flat-pad earring posts, for example: Beebeecraft 24K Gold-Plated Earring Posts on Amazon.de

This is simply the product I used for my own pair – you do not need to buy these exact earring posts . For jewelry that comes into direct contact with the skin, please choose a material that is suitable for you and check the manufacturer's information regarding nickel content and skin compatibility.

For this model, the main thing that matters is the size: the flat pad of the earring post should be no larger than 6 mm in diameter . This allows it to fit into or onto the designated mounting area on the back of the model.

The metal post is then attached to the printed part using a suitable adhesive .
