Case for Elecrow CrowPanel 7.0" HMI Display

This 3D model is a custom-designed case specifically tailored for the Elecrow CrowPanel 7.0" HMI Display (ESP32 Display, 800x480 RGB TFT LCD Touch Screen). The case securely houses the display and provides a robust enclosure, protecting the components while allowing full access to the touch screen.

Key features of the case include:

- Mounting System: The case is secured using four M3 screws, which are inserted into heat inserts located in each of the four corners at the bottom of the case. This design ensures a strong and reliable assembly. - Heat Inserts: The case is designed with pre-configured slots for heat inserts, allowing for easy installation and removal of the HMI display. - Precision Fit: The dimensions and cutouts are meticulously aligned to match the CrowPanel’s connectors and mounting points, ensuring a snug and precise fit. This case offers an efficient solution for mounting and protecting your Elecrow CrowPanel 7.0" HMI Display, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, from prototypes to finished projects.

Materials Required:

- 3D Printed Case : Download and print the 3D model files. - 4 x M2.5 Heat Inserts : Standard brass heat inserts (4mm Diameter x 5mm Max Length). - 4 x M2.5 Screws : 5mm Max Head Diameter x 1mm Head Height x 8 - 12 mm Screw Height. - Soldering Iron : For installing the heat inserts. - Screwdriver : For tightening the screws and removing supports.

Assembly Instructions:

Step 1: Print the Files

- Begin by downloading the 3D model files and printing the case using your 3D printer. Step 2: Remove Supports

- Before inserting the heat inserts, remove the supports from the holes gently with a screw driver. The heat inserts will be placed in the four corners of the bottom section of the bottom case. Step 3: Install the Heat Inserts

- Heat the Soldering Iron : Set your soldering iron to a temperature suitable for melting the plastic but not too high to cause damage (typically around 180-220°C). - Insert the Heat Inserts : - Place a heat insert on the tip of the soldering iron. - Gently press the heated insert into one of the holes in the case. - Allow the insert to slowly melt its way into the plastic until it sits flush with the surface. - Hold the soldering iron steady for a few seconds to ensure the insert is fully seated and straight. - Repeat this process for all four corners. Step 4: Mount the HMI Display

- Once the heat inserts are securely in place, position your Elecrow CrowPanel 7.0" HMI Display inside the case. - Align the mounting holes of the display with the heat inserts in the case. - Insert the M3 screws through the holes in the display and into the heat inserts. - Use a screwdriver to gently tighten each screw until the display is securely fastened. Be careful not to over-tighten, as this could damage the display or the case.
