Halloween Bracelet and Necklace Beads

Please keep these out of reach of children and pets, there are small and pointy parts, which could be a choking hazard.

Some of the beads may have rough edges when printed, often due to supports, so they should be sanded if necessary. If you print or make these, it is at your own risk.

These are some beads for making Halloween bracelets or necklaces (and probably other stuff too). They are designed with an approx 6-7mm hole if printed at 100% scale. I printed them to use with a 3mm shock cord , and for that size, I suggest scaling to between 60-85% (see below for specifics). A Bambu Studio 3MF is included, which has 5 plates, including two multicolor plates. Each plate has two sets of beads, one set (below) is the standard 100% scaled size, and the set above are scaled to fit 3mm shock cord. Just remove what is not needed. The generic beads should be printed at 100% for 3mm shock cord, though you can also scale those if you prefer.

Printing:

For 3mm shock cord the following scaling factors are suggested (these are already set up in the 3MF profile):

- Bat beads = 85% - Jack-O-Lantern Beads = 85% - Tombstone Beads = 70% - Skull Beads = 60% - Ghost Beads = 70% - Bones Beads = 60% The 3MF profile is set up with painted supports, which are only needed on the Ghost and the Jack-O-Lantern Beads, however, if you do not use the profile, those should be printed with supports (tree supports are best). The plates are set up with all the options for each bead. For example, the Jack-O-Lantern plate has a horizontal and vertical hole version on the same plate, along with the same parts scaled. This was done to provide all the options, with the idea that anything not wanted could be deleted, and anything that is wanted could be cloned to make more copies. P LEASE REMOVE ANY UNWANTED MODELS FROM THE PLATES BEFORE PRINTING.

If you print these using the raw STL's, you will need to load any models with a “PART A” and “PART B” together in the slicer, and then answer “yes” when asked if they should be loaded as one object with multiple parts.

I set up a multicolor profile using the models, however I did not print the full plate as it is set up in the profile, instead I printed some of the multicolor parts separately during testing. The multicolor plate should work fine though, but it is a long print, and any unwanted models should be removed to cut down the print time. Feedback is welcome.

How I assembled the bracelet in the pictures:

To assemble the beads into a bracelet, I first cut the shock cord to an approximate length, at least 4" longer than needed. It helped to tie a loose knot in the end of the cord so it did not pull through the bead during assembly. Next, I threaded one end through the double bead (the one with 2 holes) and left about 2" hanging out of the end. Then I assembled the beads on the cord. Once the bracelet was filled up, I threaded the remaining loose end into the other side of the double bead and finished it with a knot. Finally, the loose ends were trimmed, and I melted them with a lighter, so they don't fray.
