E3D V6 40mm Fan Mount

Heavy Duty E3D V6 40mm Fan Mount to fit E3D V6 Hotends, with strap mounts.

Created in Fusion 360 originally to fit my E3D LGX Adapter Mount, though should fit any E3D V6 heat sink. Version 1 can be used with 3mm screws, but Version 2 has extra material for longer inserts to be added securely. The mounts were designed to withstand the stress of moving a heavier server fan. Fan listed is 15,000 rpm, 24cfm (DB04028B12U).

Can be printed with infill or solid, preferably petg, abs or Nylon. However, with constant fan cooling, I don't see why PLA couldn't be used for this application.

Items needed:

40mm case fan (Server Fan is ideal if noise isn't an issue)

4-4.5mm drill bit

M3 heat inserts M3x4.6x5, M3x8x5.

Insert press (optional)

M3 x 4 bolts (Fan thickness dependent)
