Summary

We had 2 smaller caps for cat food cans and 1 larger cap for dog food cans. My wife had the idea of creating a little holder to store them on the fridge. This has turned out to be super convenient - not only is it easy to grab a cap as we are putting an opened can in the fridge, the holder makes a quick visual reference for if there is already an open can in the fridge.

Most of the design is controlled by parameters in the Fusion 360 file, so it should be easy to adjust the number and sizes of caps this holds. (Not all combinations may end up with a valid object though. Your mileage may vary.)

I used two round flat magnets to hod this on the fridge. The design has space for three magnets but two were enough.

Print Settings Used

- Rafts: No - Supports: Yes - Resolution: .2mm - Filament brand: Prusament - Filament color: Mystic Brown - Filament material: PLA - Notes: The orientation of the STL is not good for printing, so you will want to orientate the print so the back side of the holder is on the print bed. This is really easy to do with PrusaSlicer, I assume it is just as easy in other slicers.

Post-Printing

I epoxied in two magnets at the top, each 2.85mm tall and 29.5mm in diameter. You can add a third if you want it to be extra secure.

How I Designed This

I designed this in Fusion 360. This is the first thing I designed in Fusion 360, which is part of the reason the orientation of the STL is not optimal.
