Summary

This is a case for a EC Buying STM32H7 development board. The part number on board is FK723M1-ZGT6 V1.0.

Purchased Parts

- The board was purchased from Amazon , but looks to be available on AliExpress, etc. as well. - Qty 4 - M3.0x6mm Flat Head Socket Cap Screw (or equivalent) (e.g. McMaster ) Purpose

The case protects the boards and the pins on the side not being actively used. The pin headers can be inserted on top or bottom of the board. The bottom slot is slightly wider to show most of the pin header labels for easy identification.

Assembly

The case is held together by four (4) M3x6mm flat-head socket cap screws. Using countersunk screws instead of counterbore screws allows for printing without the need for any support.

Features

The status LEDs for Power (White), User (Blue), and Boot (Green) are hidden with one layer of filament so that the LEDs are visible, but not blinding. Each LED is labeled with text to show its meaning.

The text is embossed into the model, and is colored in the PrusaSlicer 3MF file using Generic Slabs. If no color text is wanted, the generic slabs can be changed to the same extruder as the main body. The colored generic slabs could also be removed to leave the text in the printed model, but not have it colored.

There are openings in the case for the camera port cable, LCD port cable, 8-pin programming/serial port, USB-C port, and SD card. The pin-headers are also open, and arranged so the the heads can be soldered on either the top or bottom of the board.

Print Settings

- PETG, because that's what I use. Other materials would be fine as well. - 100% infill (most of the print is perimeter, so setting infill to <100% doesn't save much) - 0.1mm layer height. - 0.4mm nozzle (though a smaller diameter nozzle would likely help with printing text) - Use a light-colored filament (such as white, as pictured) for the case's main body to allow the LED light to be seen through the first printed layer. - Optional - Text printed in contrasting color - Sliced model on Prusa XL takes ~1h 15m to print. Reasoning for Listing as a Purchased Model

I could not find any cases to fit this board on the various websites for 3D printing models, so I decided to design one myself.

Typically, I list my models on Printables for free. However, I'm listing this model as a Printables Store model in order to try to help recoup some of the time and materials costs associated with designing and printing prototypes for this release. (e.g. Between design and printing a few prototypes, it took about 12 hours of work to develop this model.) I do this as a hobby, but the materials and printer do cost money to operate.

The model is listed for $5, the minimum price allowed on the Printables Store.

When I recoup some of the costs (or enough time passes and I need to list another model on the Printables Store), I plan to release this model for free on Printables like my other models.

Thank you for the support!
