summary

simple usermod for Hero Me Gen 7 enabled Ender 3. original Hero Me Gen 7 files only support BLV Ender 3, which converts all axis to linear rails and uses CNC parts and i didn't like it. so i designed a dedicated carriage/gantry for stock Ender 3. you can now attach MGN12H rail on top of your X axis.

MGN12H 300mm rail x1

you do not need to buy carriage separately. it will come with rail if not specified. i highly recommend RDBB's rail. original Hiwin rails are probably overkill for Enders.

M3 Hammerhead Nuts x6

you can use T-nuts instead.

M3 6mm SHCS x6

for locking rails.

M3 30mm BHCS or SHCS x4

for assembling printed parts together.

M3 OD 4.5 L 4.5 Threaded Insert x4

insert them in front plate.

print settings

use PETG at least. PLA won't endure temperature. 40% infill, 4 walls, 5 bottom and top layers.

downsides

it is not rigid enough due to top rail mount.
