Описание
I designed this miniature crane truck in Fusion 360. It complements the miniature vehicles by agepbiz , Bryan and James Wood , all of which I also printed, but my nephew was missing a crane truck :-)
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
Make instructions
- I printed the model in PLA, with a layer thickness of 0.2mm and 15% infill. Also enable “detect thin layers”. - I recommend to print with a brim. Part of the brim will block the upward rotation of the crane arm. This has to be broken the first time the arm is lifted and extended. - The hook is joined to the extending part of the arm by a tiny support. This has to be broken the first time the hook is rotated. Carefully support the hook near its base when you to this. - The hook shape itself also has a small support built into the model. This must be cut near the base, and can then be broken or cut off at the tip of the hook. Let me know if you like it! :-)
Update
The original model had a few unsupported overhangs in the wheel housings in the main body of the truck. Although these do not cause problems at the scale of the model, I have removed most of these in version V4 of the model.
I have also added a .3mf file with mmu painting of the model, along with the .gcode files for 3 instances of the truck on the MK3S+ & MMU2S with 0.2mm and 0.15mm layer heights. I used the 0.15mm file.
Update 2
Following feedback about the hook hinge binding if filament with a larger tolerance is used, I have added a V5 version of the model with the following changes:
- 50% bigger tolerances around the hook - Less support material to the hook, which must be broken after printing - Slightly sturdier hook When breaking the support material for the hook, hold the hook as close to its base as possible, to minimize the stresses on the hook itself. I have tested this new model at layer height 0.2mm and 0.15mm. Both layer heights worked well for me.
