Mounted Nextruder Nozzle Holder for Upgraded Prusa MK4/S (MK3-style Frame)

A mounted storage solution for Prusa Nextruder nozzle cases that mounts to the MK3/S style frame with two spare M3 bolts.

Contains options for mounting 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 nozzle cases.

Requires 2x M3x6 or M3x8 bolts (you can probably find these in your Spare Parts bag from your printer).

Also contains a cutout for the optional lightbar mod (pictured) to allow the power cable to pass through without being pinched or having to re-run that cable.

Printing

Print the base, and print one of the nozzle cartridges for however many nozzles you want to store.

Print the base with the screw holes facing down - no supports required.

Print the nozzle cartridge with the nozzle openings facing up - minimal supports are required for the mounting pegs.

Assembly

Press-fit the cartridge pegs into the base recess. Printers with good tolerance should be able to press-fit this together without any glue. If the cartridge feels loose or you want to sleep better at night, add some superglue.

Screw the assembly onto the frame from back to front, through the model first (see photo for correct screw holes). You may need to work the screw through the model first to loosen up the screw holes and make it easier to attach to the frame.

If you have the lightbar mod and you have a power cable running down where this mount would go, there is a convenient cutout for the power cable to pass through.

Usage

The Prusa Nextruder nozzle cases should fit perfectly in the cartridge holes. The nozzle cases are designed to be completely out of the way of any printer functions, while being easily reachable.

Modifications

Contains the parametric FreeCAD source file - you can easily adjust the wall thickness, case cutout dimensions, and quantity of case slots.
