Fully tested! This extruder replaces the stock centauri carbon extruder and allows use of a Bambu Lab clone hotends with swappable nozzles (commonly sold as TZ, TZ2.0, TZ3.0 etc). You will need to use a melt zone extender such as the trianglelabs MZE and similar adapters that are used to extend a normal heatblock to volcano length. I have only tested this with the bambustyle nozzle but it should be possible to use regular V6 nozzles as well. It also includes a replacement printable fan shroud for the hotend fan.

I have tested this with a TZ3.0 hotend, with a copper block, 70W heater, and copper melt zone extender. It should have substantially higher flow than the stock brass hotend + 60W heater. I forgot to collect a baseline measurement on flow rate before swapping, but in the orca speed test with kingroon PETG at 260C I was able to do 25 mm^3/s flow rate before underextrusion was apparant.

You will need

- a bambu clone hotend other than the TZ 4.0 (I am working on a version for this, it would allow revo-like nozzle swaps.) - A melt zone extender - M3x25 screws - M3x4mm voron heatset inserts - preferably the bambu hotend shoulder screws, although the stock centauri hotend mounting screws should work - I highly recommend buying extra MR84 bearings for the drive gear. the bearings on my extruder housing were very stuck, and unless you know what you are doing you can damage them during removal - ECAS04 bowden connector.

The step file includes locations for screws and heatset inserts. You can reuse the stock idler assembly, or can print the version here, but if you do you will also need M3x2mm heatset inserts and a grub screw.

NO SUPPORT NEEDED- removable supports are built into the model

Printing in ABS or better filament with a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm layer height recommended. I have found it can be helpful to clean up the filament path with a 5/32" or 2 mm drill bit, though this shouldn't be needed with a well tuned filament profile.
