K1 Series Spool Clamp and Break

The Problem

I have realized that the spools keep moving around on the spool holder of my Creality K1 Max, especially when printing at full speed, and this causes the filaments to tangle around the shaft when the spool is full. This problem is more critical when using filament sample spools or 0.5kg spools.

The Solution

This part solves this problem. Firstly, put the “Spool Break” on the shaft and push it to the end (to the printer body), and then put on the “Spool Clamp” . Voila!

Now you can put on any spool on the machine and push the clamp to it. Make sure the knob on the clamp is facing upward at all times.

Print Setting

Filament ABS - ASA - PETG Do not use PLA as it is brittle and will break easily

Print Orientation As it is Do not change the orintation of the file (unless you know what you're doing)

Layer Height 0.12 - 0.3 -

Support Normal Snug Threshold angle: 25 | First layer density: 90

Perimeter At least 4 at least 4 perimeters for 0.4mm nozzle and 3 for 0.6mm nozzle

Install

- First, put the Spool break on the spool holder shaft of your printer, and then push it towards the very end of it on the printer side. (It may be a little hard, but it won't break if it's printed with ABS correctly) - Then, put on the spool clamp. - Make sure the two knobs on the clamp are always face UP - Now you can put the filament spools on the shaft and push the clamp to them. - The spool clamp diameter is designed to be smaller than the average spool hole, so you don't need to take off the clamp every time you change the spool. 1kg ABS Spool:

ABS Spools are wider, so they can hold 1kg of ABS filament.
