Описание

As I typically print from filament rolls stored in my Sunlu S4 dryer directly, I have a reverse bowden tube to my printer to ensure a smooth filament feed path. That said, it was always a pain to feed a new roll all the way to the hotend, pushing the filament end from inside the dryer. Additionally, sometimes I needed to use a roll mounted on the side for harder to feed filaments like extremely soft TPU/TPE that worked best with a shorter tube. Disconnecting the PTFE tube from standard couplers tended to damage them over time, and it just wasn't as quick as I wanted, so I created this simple tube coupler that utilizes 2 10x3mm magnets with 3mm holes in them.

These are the magnets I used: https://www.amazon.com/Neodymium-Industrial-Strength-Countersunk-Workplace/dp/B09ZLFNZ4S

Simply print the couplers and glue two of the thru-hole magnets in them, ensuring to keep the polarity correct so they connect (one side has a small ridge to help orient the magnets correctly). The PTFE tube should be able to be press fit into the coupler ends with a little twisting and effort, but they should be tight to prevent them from slipping off. Personally, I feed the tubes into the couplers so the tube is slightly extended from the male coupler side so that it aligns with the cone of the magnet in the female side.
