Three-wing star knob for Screws and Nuts (M4, M5, M6 or M8)

This design was originally made for my lawn mower, which has some quick fasteners that don’t work very well. I wanted a knob with only three wings so it can be tightened easily while wearing gloves. I’ve uploaded two versions of the lid: one with a through-hole and one without (see .step file). The nut fits very snugly. If you can’t press it in by hand, simply use a screw with a washer to pull it into place inside the knob.

Select between knob suitable for: M4, M5, M6 or M8

Print settings used:

- Layer height: 0.2 mm (structural),

- Material: PETG Infill: 25%

- Perimeters: 3; Top layers: 5 ; Bottom layers: 5. This results already in a rather sturdy knob, but feel free to adjust

- No supports needed

- Print with the shaft of the knob placed on the print bed
