Ikea Hugad Curtain Rod End Cap

Summary

This is a simple and stylish end cap for the Ikea Hugad curtain rod. It comes as two files, one for the big (beeg) end of the rod and one end for the small (smol) end of the rod. The end cap is intended to be attached to the curtain rod with an M4x20, cap-head screw.

Printing

No supports are required, lay the part flat against the bed with the larger hold on the bottom. There is a sacrificial layer to hold allow for printing the hold without supports. Recommended infill is 10-15%.

Assembly

- Using a screw or similar, penetrate the sacrificial layer. - Pass the screw through the part. - Put the part on the end of the curtain rod (don't forget to put the curtain on first!) - Tighten the screw into the pre-supplied hole in the curtain rod. Optional: for extra strength, ream the pre-supplied hole in the curtain rod and insert an appropriate M4 threaded insert into the hole.
