A rigid snap-on guard that covers the entire button face of the Honda smart key. Secure enough that it won't shake loose on its own, easy enough to pop off.

And when it's off, it doesn't have to go in your pocket — it snaps onto the BACK of the fob and rides there. Every button free, nothing to set down, nothing to lose. Flip it back to the front when you're done.

FITS

Confirmed:

- 2025 Honda Pilot smart key, FCC ID KR5TP-4

- Both Driver 1 and Driver 2 fobs (72147-T90-A21 / 72147-T90-A31)

Same fob housing, not personally tested:

- 2023-2025 CR-V

- 2023-2025 HR-V

- 2023-2025 Accord

- 2022-2025 Civic

This grips the outside of the fob — no button cutouts. Button count and layout don't matter. Only the outer shell shape does.

CHECK YOURS

Flip the fob over and read the FCC ID. KR5TP-4 -> should fit. KR5V2X / KR5V44 / KR5T44 / CWTWB1G0090 -> will not fit. (Those are the older Honda fobs with a completely different housing.)

PRINT SETTINGS

Print in a "RIGID" filament (not TPU/TPE/flexible). The snap depends on it.

- Material: PCTG or PETG. PLA+ works but is the most likely to become brittle over time. TPU will not hold — do not waste it.

- Perimeters: 2. That's the whole part.

- Infill: irrelevant, it's all perimeter.

- Layer height: irrelevant. Use whatever you like.

- Supports: none.

- Orientation: print as saved in the file. Don't rotate it - print on-edge. Use a small brim if you don't have good bed adhesion.

- Print time: 32 min on a Prusa Core One at 0.2mm Balanced, using a deliberately slow PCTG profile. Stock profiles will be quicker.

FIT

Snap fits vary between printers. If yours comes out tight or loose, adjust horizontal expansion or scale in X and Y only — leave Z alone.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO

- The emergency key blade is not accessible with the cover on, in either position. Pull the cover off to release it.

- Same for battery changes — cover off first.

- No interference with keyrings or keychains in either position.
