Описание
Made for the Kato chassis because it's cheap and readily availible and made in british O scale so UK modelers can use her for for post Bush Mill condition at the CCLR. DA 1 was built at the Bush Mill Railway in 1986 as a diesel powered auxiliary tender for Sarah Kate, the line's 0-4-0t+t on busy days. Circa Febuary 1987 Bush Mill rebuilt DA 1 to a diesel mechanical 0-4-0. In 1993 Sarah Kate was rebuilt to have a larger boiler, bored out cylinders, and new tender meaning she didn't need any help on busy days.
DA 1 ran winter trains and was a shunting engine until the railway, and the Bush Mill itself closed on the 30th of June 2004. She, mountaineer and the five coaches and two trucks went unsold for two years until being sold to David Humphreys in the UK. They were delivered from Tasmania to tilbury before being taken to the Cleethorpes Coast Light railway on the 23/6/2006. DA 1 was rebuilt to have larger windows and a new coat of blue paint. Mountaineer now lives at the Windmill Animal Farm Railway, while the coaches live at the Sherwood Forest Railway.
