Sunlu E2 Quick roller fix - largest diameter possible without cutting. Polymaker 3Kg Spool Fix

This was just a quick fix, that makes this better but does not fix the problem 100%. Check out my other model for the real fix!

This is a very quick fix for the Sunlu E2 filament drier. Although it is advertised as being able to use 3Kg spools, that is not always the case. Carboard large and heavy spools will snag every single print and get worse as the carboard degrades. The 4mm shafts are simply too small and exert too much pressure on the soft cardboard. These insert are a very quick and almost free fix.

You will also have to do a quick fix like the one pictured with tape and a Bowden tube or drill a hole in the center so it does not pull the roll to one side. Sunlu should be ashamed of such a poor design and false advertising. If they did test it with a 3Kg spool it was with a plastic spool holder.

Print, and then slip over the shafts mating the flange side with the sides of the box. The spool will now ride freely and when it moves over to the side it will not get jammed on the bearing.

Supports are modeled in! Turn off supports when printing. Using a scarf joint all the way around, makes for a smooth post processing free print.
