BRZ / GR86 Hard Mount [v2] for Walkie-Talkies + AiM Solo2 / Solo2DL

Hi there! Own a GR86 or Subaru BRZ and have come to the realization, like so many of us, that there's next to nowhere to throw your trusty Baofeng or TIDRadio walkie-talkie on your car club events? Heading to Tail of the Dragon with a group of folks and need to stay in contact out in the mountains? This might just be the model/remix for you!

This is based on EngineerPro 's base model, and adds an additional endplate on the other side of the ball that matches the backplate on a number of popular walkie-talkies. This mounts right up using the included m2 screws for the belt clip on both my TIDRadio and Baofeng models, though they're a simple m2 screw with a 5mm head, if for some reason you don't have those. There's two variations here, one that uses the common 17mm ball mount system found on phones and other devices the world over, and another that screws directly in. I suggest using the ball mount, but the screw mount is simpler and should be more durable if that's your concern.

Finally, while you're welcome to print your own nut, I'm using an injection molded nut from Amazon, they are a bit more durable than printed ones. You can find them for cheap at links such as : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F3CZMN88

I printed the entire file in black SUNLU PETG, though the original model creator suggests using TPU as the base. I found this unnecessary, and PETG / ABS holds up great in automotive environments. I wouldn't recommend printing this in PLA, as PLA does not like the temperatures often found in parked vehicles, nor UV.

If there's interest, I might add a bottom retaining clip specifically for the TIDRadio H3, but I've found this to be unnecessary so far. Finally, I did test this on both the Baofeng UV-5R and TIDRadio H3 models, but there may be additional models this is compatible with based on their similar belt clip design.
