Memorial Plaque for the Victims of the Holodomor (1932–1933)

Memorial Plaque for the Victims of the Holodomor (1932–1933)

This model is designed as a memorial to honor the victims of the Holodomor, the man-made famine that devastated Ukraine in the years 1932–1933. The plaque bears the Ukrainian inscription “Голодомор 1932–1933” and a symbolic figure representing remembrance and mourning.

In accordance with Ukrainian tradition, a piece of bread is placed in front of the memorial as a symbol of lost lives and stolen nourishment. Traditionally, grain in a small glass or a slice of bread is used as a meaningful and understandable symbol of the famine.

For safety reasons, the candle shown is electric , eliminating any risk of fire while preserving the atmosphere of quiet remembrance and respect.

This memorial is intended for personal remembrance, educational purposes, and as a symbolic reminder of historical truth and human suffering.
