Remington 7 typewriter rubber foot

This is a replacement rubber foot for a Remington 7 typewriter. It should work for other Remington typewriters of the same family: Remington 6, 7, 8, and 9. This instance was created for a machine with a decimal tabulator, which needs more clearance underneath the machine. You can easily make the feet shorter if needed.

UPDATE: I added a parametric version which also allows creating a tapered top. On one of my Remington 6, for example, tapering the top was a better solution.

Print settings:

- I used Siraya Tech Flex TPU - 85A Filament

- Shore 95A TPU is too hard.

- Softer TPU should work as well, but I haven't tried.

- 85A gives decent grip on a smooth surface.

- I fed the TPU directly to the extruder, no PTFE tubing.

This design is based on original Remington 7 feet. These are cylindrical, with a hole in the middle for a ~3.1 mm diameter metal rod which gives the foot a little more rigidity. If you don't have such rods, you could make them, or omit them.

I made two versions of the feet, differing only in the diameter of the top part: 12.25 mm for the back feet, and 12.75 for the front feet. This might vary from machine to machine because of imprecise tolerances, aging of the machine, etc. Adjust accordingly. I also made a tapered version.

I printed this with 100% infill in the top part, and 60% infill in the bottom part: a little squishiness is good for the bottom, while a more solid part is good for the top.
