Joycon 2 charging grip adapter for split protective cases

I love having my JSAUX split protective case, but still wanted to use the charging grip due to the grip buttons. Though I did not want to keep taking the joycons out of the shell each time.

Parts used from joycon grip:

- All the screws from the grip

- Buttons attached to ribbon cable

- Rubber button covers from inside

Other hardware needed:

- Double sided tape (I used scotch double sided tape)

Prep:

- Disassemble the joycon grip.

- You will need to remove the buttons attached to the ribbon cable from their mount in the grip. I used a knife to carefully get under the sticker and pry it off.

Assembly (as seen in pictures):

- Attach base using the screws from inside the grip

- Attach the ribbon cable through the center. Then give it a small gentile twist to manage the cable better. Do not fold the ribbon cable as it can damage it.

- Attach one button pad to each side of the risen platform. You may need to use double sided tape if they don't stick well.

- Add a small strip of double sided tape, and then attach the rubber button covers. Make sure the placement is correct to click the button easily.

- Put on the lid and attach it with the screws from the outside of the grip.
