Clip-A-Cap: The Modular Accessory System for Your Headwear

Clip-A-Cap is a modular mounting platform that transforms almost any headwear (including baseball caps, straw hats, thick winter beanies, and more) into a versatile, hands-free tool station. Built on a specialized "Claw & Ball" friction-fit system , the possibilities for customization are virtually endless.

Whether you’re working, reading, or exploring, Clip-A-Cap keeps everything within reach and your hands completely free.

📂 Primary File: Base Hat Clip

This upload is for the main foundation of the system. This file contains the essential clip required to host the entire Clip-A-Cap ecosystem of attachments.

- The "Claw" Grip: The tip of the clip features a technical-grade claw designed to snap onto attachments with a 9.7mm ball joint .

- Material Science: This base clip is designed to be printed in PETG for outdoor durability and UV resistance.

- Engineered Friction: I recommend printing the base in PETG and all attachments in TPU 95A . This mixed-material approach prevents the wear and tear that occurs when two identical plastics rub together, ensuring the joint stays tight over time.

- Firm Positioning: At the 9.7mm spec, attachments are easy to snap in but remain firmly in place at whatever angle you set them.

- Filament: PETG

- Resolution: 0.2mm layer height

- Infill: 30% ( Gyroid recommended for the best balance of strength and flex)

- Supports: Yes (For the attachment mounting points)

- Rafts: No
