10x magnifying loupe

After making the universal wide angle viewfinder v2 you will be left with a single convex lens. This lens in its original housing can be used to make a convenient magnifying loupe to use for examining negatives or focusing on a ground glass.

Unless you are building the aforementioned viewfinder, there is no point in buying the lens solely to source the element for this loupe, as much cheaper off-the-shelf alternatives are available.

To assemble it, screw it onto the 3D printed part. Original push-on cap can be used to cover the lens element.

Print layers between 3 mm and 34.5 mm with fuzzy skin to get a nice texture. Print layers between 36 mm and 39 mm at a 0.1 mm layer height for a smoother M39x0.6 thread.
